How to Do Hydraulic Press Puzzle Persona 5

In the next room, your path is blocked not by arms but by robotic presses. Begin by disabling the purple arm at the start of this room.

Use the consoles here and select "Lunch" to pause the presses for 30 seconds - enough time for you to cross.

Breaking the Arm

Once the Phantom Thieves reach Okumura Spaceport of Greed in Persona 5, their goal should be to infiltrate Kunikazu Okumura's palace to prevent him from orchestrating a political marriage for Haru. Breaking open one door requires dismantling a pink robot arm blocking an entrance - easily done using a control panel - but be wary of any enemies nearby as this task should proceed carefully.

Phantom Thieves will then advance toward a conveyor belt area containing several shadow robots called Corporobo MDL-CH with Ice and Psy abilities designed to weaken party members.

After defeating them, players will find a safe room where they can rest. In the next room is a console which enables players to alter the speed of robot arms; increasing it should enable crossing before it reactivates; this opens a door leading to a Locked Chest with Haru's Big Bang Axe weapon in it and seeds of red greed will start growing again.

Activating the Consoles

Once in this area, the paths are quite linear - just follow them until you encounter another blocked door with hydraulic presses that requires activating a control panel to stop. There are three options to select when activating this console: Lunch gives Joker 30 seconds to traverse all hydraulic presses in this area while Unpaid Overtime and Break only provide 5 seconds each.

The next part of the puzzle is straightforward and easily understandable, as you must find a console to deactivate another robotic arm in order to cross this section of the palace. Once done, chests will appear along with another console which must then be used as part of another bridge over robot arms to cross to Shadow Okumura who represents Greed. By doing this you will cross all facilities until reaching Shadow Okumura and discover your new boss: Greed himself!

Crossing the Presses

Once Phantom Thieves reach the conveyor belt area, they must navigate several presses that are blocked by laser grids and robot arms. Thankfully, there are ways around these puzzles without fighting every shadow in sight.

First, players need to break apart the pink robot arm near the safe room, moving past it until they find a cylinder panel that turns off all lasers. By doing so, they can use this panel to pause presses before crossing over them again before they activate again.

There is another blue press further north that is more difficult to manage, so the protagonist should pause for 30 seconds after choosing "Lunch". This should give them plenty of time to complete it successfully.

Okumura's Spaceport of Greed stands apart from previous Palaces by featuring enemies who instead inflict Hunger rather than Gluttony on players, likely because the palace represents Kunikazu Okumura and his company and their production of food products.

Battle Enemies

As soon as players break the arm, they must fight against Corporobo Mdl-Wkrs (Corporobo employees). These enemies can be difficult to deal with as they use Masukunda, Marakunda and Matarunda debuffs while physically attacking your party at once - not to mention summoning extra workers for battle! Luckily these enemies are weak against Fire and Wind attacks while their Chief Director can only deal Psy damage so Haru, Ann or Morgana make excellent allies during these fights!

Once they defeat the robots, Phantom Thieves can proceed across the presses towards an activation console near a laser grid which will shut down a yellow hydraulic press and allow them to escape; additionally unlocking a chest containing Musk ST-LU for Ryuji as a prize! Luckily there is also a safe room nearby if they need some time out from fighting robots!
