Hydraulic Press for Hydraulic Pump Repair
time:2023-03-10 views:(点击 978 次)Hydraulic presses are employed in a number of industries, such as car repair shops, agricultural equipment factories and food production plants.
H-frame (two column) hydraulic presses feature a frame, cylinder, pump and bolster that resemble an "H." They're commonly used in repair shops or production assembly lines with either manual pump or air/electricity pumps for reliable operation.
Pump
Hydraulic presses can be used in a range of applications, from manufacturing car parts to assembling dishwasher and refrigerator components. With precision control, these hydraulic presses can be tailored for specific production or assembly needs by altering ram force, pressure dwell duration, press direction, speed and release force.
Producing large, heavy parts can be transformed into producing small, precise ones with precision. Operators set up a hydraulic press before each application so that the right force, alignment and spacing are obtained.
Hydraulic presses can be utilized with hand pumps for low volume, low force applications as well as air or electric pumps when reliable operation is essential. Cylinder size also varies based on application.
Cylinder
Hydraulic presses are essential pieces of manufacturing equipment. Kiefer Tool repairs and rebuilds hydraulic presses for companies throughout the Midwest, Middle Atlantic, and Northeast United States.
Cylinders are designed for a variety of tasks, such as lifting and jacking, pulling, pressing, holding, lowering, and clamping. They come in different materials designed to withstand the rigors of daily service.
The cylinder barrel is a metal tube that houses the piston and is designed to withstand hydraulic fluid pressure. Usually welded, but can also be flanged or screwed together, the barrel provides support for your piston during its travels.
Seals are used on both inside and outside of a cylinder barrel to protect it from corrosion, abrasion, wear, and friction that would otherwise degrade the material. Seals can be constructed out of various materials depending on their intended use and the type of cylinder they will be employed in; for instance, those working in hot or cold climates require seals that won't melt or crack under extreme temperatures such as Viton.
Valve
Hydraulic presses are widely used in fabrication, assembly and maintenance operations. They use hydraulic pressure to push a steel cylinder into materials with an exacting force.
A hydraulic press consists of a cylinder, pump and external control device that can be mounted on any flat surface such as flooring or benches.
Easy to operate and adjust, there are multiple settings to choose from such as ram force, pressure dwell duration, press direction and release of force.
Valve repairs can be a frequent issue with hydraulic presses, particularly after years of continuous use and abuse. Being exposed to vibration and shock on an ongoing basis, valve repairs may become necessary. This wear-and-tear can have detrimental effects on seals and other parts over time.
A technician must inspect the valve to determine if repair or replacement is necessary. If they discover that there are leaks present, then replacement is likely the best course of action.
Actuator
Hydraulic presses are essential tools for operators in fitting, bending and assembling sheet metal parts, bearings and equipment. They work by applying pressure generated by a pump to push a hydraulic steel cylinder into material at an adjustable force.
An actuator can be either electrical or hydraulic. Electric actuators utilize a direct connection to the motor and draw power from an energy source (usually batteries or electric motors).
Mechanical actuators do not need an electrical connection and can be designed with different voltage requirements depending on their application. Hydraulic actuators require a power converter that regulates liquid pressure to transmit force during activation.
Common issues with hydraulic pumps involve their inability to build or sustain fluid pressure, which is usually due to low levels, poor quality or improper filtration. Furthermore, air contamination can clog filters and cause temperature issues, potentially leading to system malfunctioning.
