What Hydraulic Oil For Truss Press?
time:2023-06-04 views:(点击 228 次)An individual worker lays each member of a truss on beds of presses arranged in the desired pattern, using companion plates 20 to operate both presses simultaneously to force wood rims 22 into wood.
Hydraulic oil is essential to the smooth operation of a shed plate truss press, and using improper viscosity specifications from OEM can quickly lead to issues.
Hydraulic Oil
Selecting an appropriate lubricant for hydraulic systems is one of the key factors to ensuring machine reliability. Although misspecifications won't lead to catastrophic failure, incorrect selection can shorten component lifespan and diminish system efficiency over time.
In the present invention, there is described a truss press comprising of a power system composed of hydraulic rams 24 connected to operate a pressure applying section 26. Each hydraulic ram features a piston reciprocally mounted within a cylinder 28. Additionally, an appropriate fluid supply system includes conduits 32 and 34 as well as a master valve station 36 located within its console that supplies controlled amounts of pressure fluid to each of these cylinders at once.
As soon as a predetermined number of trusses have been assembled, hydraulic rams are activated to retract pistons 78 and raise blocks 76 inside semi-enclosed housings 98. When limit switches 100 in each housing are reached in their upper portions, a signal indicates that rollers have reached full elevation and that the trusses may now be released.
As opposed to existing truss pressing systems, this specification describes a truss press which allows trusses to be automatically discharged from its table via a conveyor system located either at one end of its support table or along side thereof and carried directly away for handling and assembly at another location.
The Riehl Steel Shed Plate Truss Press features three standard press stations (and five optional ones) equipped with 3000 psi hydraulic cylinders to provide reliable and simple use. When dismantling of the trusses is complete, taking under four minutes per operator, disassembling can take place from press to conveyor for delivery to shed manufacturers - eliminating manual maneuvering that can cause injuries and reduce productivity.
ATF
Automatic transmission fluid, or ATF, is a special lubricant designed to be used in auto automatic transmissions and hydraulic power assist steering systems. ATFs are colored differently from regular hydraulic oil to easily differentiate them and must comply with various automotive manufacturer specifications as well as automotive warranty terms and specifications for this application. ATF must feature high levels of oxidation stability to withstand locally elevated operating temperatures while simultaneously having controlled friction properties to deliver consistent power-transmitting characteristics and low shear strength for durability purposes.
Each press features an independent power system consisting of a hydraulic ram 24 which operates a pressure applying section 26', as well as fluid conduits 32 and 34 to provide pressure fluid to each individual ram, connecting to pressure application section 26 via piston rod 30 and master valve station 36 simultaneously.
Once the pressure plates 20' are in place, a single worker can use all three presses simultaneously to force splice plates into the wood and thus join its joints together. Splice plates must be precut and arranged in order to facilitate assembly as shown in FIGURE 1.
When selecting an ATF for your truss press, be sure to choose one which meets the machine's lubrication needs. Most presses use ATF; however some may require another type of anti-wear hydraulic fluid instead. CITGO TRANSGARD Multi-Purpose ATF is an example of an all-purpose ATF lubricant suitable for use in truss presses that require General Motors DEXRON III, DEXRON IIE or DEXRON II fluids or Ford MERCON or Allison TC-4 fluids. Mineral-based ATF designed to offer exceptional shear resistance, good oxidation and anti-wear protection at a low-temperature fluidity for automatic transmissions. This non-detergent fluid contains ZDDP for anti-wear properties as well as VI improvers to strengthen shear stability; additionally it comes equipped with a phosphate reserve against deposits within its lubrication system - all at an economical price which provides both lubrication and friction control required by most truss presses.
Mineral Base
Featuring three or five press stations powered by 3000 psi hydraulic cylinders, the Riehl Steel Shed Plate Truss Press provides shed truss manufacturers with an efficient and dependable machine to produce shed trusses of all types and sizes. Easy controls enable operation in manual, teach and go, or fully automatic modes - perfect for either manual operation, teach and go learning, or full automatic. Available with various table width options to meet every type and size truss!
The Truss Pressing System comprises of hydraulic rams 24 connected by fluid conduits 32 and 34 to operate pressure applying section 26 via fluid conduits 31-32 controlled by master valve station 36, reciprocally mounted cylinders 28 with piston rod 30 connecting them, press fluid supply through conduits 31 and 32 connected directly from one cylinder end through conduits 31-32 connected directly from master control station, then vented directly into atmosphere through valves 34/36 controlled by the master control station; ensure cylinders remain clean and dry to avoid corrosion issues!
Synthetic
Electrically heated hydraulic gap, platen, and post guided presses by American Hydraulic Presses include features such as end of cycle alarms, temperature readouts for individual cylinders and user selectable presets. We offer inspection, repair, rebuild and upgrade services with capacities ranging from 225 tons up to 1,500 tons; models feature single cylinder construction beds manual die mounting rails touchscreen operator interfaces plus pinch roll attachments welded steel frames special cutting padlocking devices and dual hand tripping actions as additional options.
A truss press comprises of a bed, means of locking the frame to it when in its pressing position on the bed, means of unlocking and pivoting it away from it to load position, an arcuate platen mounted to the frame, and means for forcing the platen towards bed. A hydraulic ram 24 connects with an operating pressure applying section 26 which may be thought of as piston reciprocally mounted in cylinder 28; hydraulic fluid supplies this system through master valve station 36 controlled from console control panel.
Ram 24 hydraulic cylinders are equipped with lubricating fluid to protect them against wear. This oil may be mineral or synthetic-based and features anti-wear properties for greater wear resistance as well as high viscosity index; making it suitable for applications involving drastic temperature and pressure swings.
As it is vitally important to change out hydraulic oil regularly and completely, installing fresh clean and light hydraulic oil will help avoid unnecessary sludge build-up and premature wear on seals and equipment. A suitable general-purpose product would include Mobil DTE 24. A low weight full synthetic lubricant is another great choice.
Hydraulic fluid plays a variety of roles in an efficient system. Neglecting one or more will likely lead to rapid failures down the line; to avoid this scenario it is wise to follow OEM specifications and/or employ reality-based selection techniques which ensure your time and efforts in selecting viscosity, additives and other factors were not wasted by failing to account for specific operating conditions within an application.
